CREED

We believe that

  • Education should strive for the full development of the human being- mentally, spiritually & physically
  • Education should prepare man for a place in society that provides equal opportunity of happiness, achievement and services to humanity for all persons, irrespective of race, colour or creed
  • Self-discipline is the highest form of discipline and that the home, the school and the church should all co=operate in the inculcation of such discipline n all human beings
  • Respect should be accorded to the religions of all men providing that these religions do not enshrine oppressive discriminatory principles, but have among their basic tenets “the brotherhood of man” & “ loving thy neighbour as thyself”, because only these principles will ensure the evolution of a truly human standard of conduct of one man towards another
  • Religious principles should form the basis of our day to day dealings with our fellowmen- religion should be dynamic in concept
  • All men should be accorded respect as human beings and that race, colour or creed should have no part in the measure of this respect
  • In a developing world hidebound enslavement to tradition should have no part, because tradition is often rooted in beliefs proved false by time, knowledge & experience
  • All avenues of employment, all opportunities to reach the highest rung of the ladder of achievement, should be accessible to all having the ability & indicating the willingness to expend honest effort
  • Government should be “of the people, by the people, for the people”

CREDO

Ons glo dat

  • opvoeding moet streef na die volle ontwikkeling van die mens – verstandelik, geestelik en liggaamlik
  • opvoeding moet die mens voorberei op ‘n plek in die samelewing wat gelyke geleenthede bied vir geluk, prestasie en diens aan die mensdom  ongeag ras, kleur of geloof
  • self-dissipline is die hoogste vorm van dissipline en die huis, die skool en die kerk, moet  almal saamwerk om dissipline by alle mense in te skerp
  • die Godsdienstige beginsels van alle mense moet eerbiedig word. Hierdie gelowe moet egter nie in onderdrukkende en diskriminerende beginsels geanker wees nie, maar die basiese beginsels van broederskap bevorder, asook om u naaste lief te hê soos uself.  Slegs hierdie beginsels sal die ontwikkeling van ‘n ware mens verseker. Ook verseker hierdie beginsels die ontwikkeling van ‘n waarlik menslike gedragstandaard van een mens teenoor ‘n ander.
  • godsdiens moet die basis vorm van ons daaglikse omgang met ons medemens – Godsdiens moet dinamies van aard wees
  • alle mense moet respek aan verleen word en ras, kleur of geloof moet geen deel hieraan hê nie.
  • versteekte slawerny aan tradisie moet geen deel hê aan ‘n ontwikkelende wêreld nie, omdat tradisie dikwels diep gewortel is in oortuigings wat deur tyd, kennis en ervaring verkeerd bewys word
  • alle werksgeleenthede en alle geleenthede om die hoogste vlak van prestasie te bereik, moet toeganklik wees vir almal wat oor die vermoë  beskik en bereidwilligheid toon om eerlike pogings aan te wend
  • die regering moet ‘n regering van “die mense, deur die mense en vir die mense” wees.
